Stage Report: Jesús Herrada of Cofidis gave Spain their first stage win of this Vuelta a España on the climb to the Laguna Negra. He jumped away from the large break of the day for the victory. The GC favourites weren’t for racing and made any strikes within the final metres. Sepp Kuss had no issues holding the crimson jersey.
