Nigeria: Organizers Flag Off 2023 National Anti-Corruption Marathon Race


Organizers of the National Anti-Corruption Marathon race has flagged off the fifth version with the graduation of registration for contributors for the occasion scheduled for December ninth in Abuja.

The National co-ordinator of the programme, Jacob Onu disclosed that many Nigerians are becoming a member of forces together with his physique to struggle the menace of corruption within the nation.

“The marathon is to lift consciousness on the struggle in opposition to corruption within the nation as a part of effort to assist the federal government of their struggle in opposition to the menace. As you run and endure, you could equally keep in mind that the struggle in opposition to corruption is a protracted, troublesome and someday irritating one , the one underlying issue is that we must not ever relent in our effort to struggle the menace”

“Our marathon race is symbolic in that with out perseverance and endurance one cannot begin and end a marathon race. Lending assist to the race, Mrs Rita Mosindi the Athletics Federation of Nigeria(AFN) secretary basic promised that the AFN will give their technical assist to the occasion.

The Anti- Corruption marathon race is 21.5km (half-marathon) will begin at Eagles Square by 7am and move by way of the National Stadium and terminates on the Unity Fountain in Abuja.
