WASHINGTON — The hospital trade has pushed again towards Medicare cost reforms for years, arguing that the insurance policies would financially damage rural hospitals.
Two key senators on Friday launched a plan to get round that challenge by reinvesting a number of the cash saved from cost reforms to assist rural and safety-net hospitals.
